Last Days at Catemaco (this trip!)

Awww…this fellow got invited to the cookout down at the beach

Fresh BBQ

Well, we don’t know if he was the cookout, but he was at the cookout. And, it was only Friday.

We did another ride out to the beach but this time circled the entire route. Great and beautiful drive of 80 miles. The end was tiring because we were back on a main route and struggled to get past truck after truck climbing grades. Will do some pix in a slide show format for those that care.

Are there any places to camp on the beaches near Catemaco? We have never driven down there and wondered if there were places to camp or safe to boondock.

Excellent question John. There was one that Daniele thought we could try but no way in a 35'. There are no formal CG's. Where the pig is (was?) would probably be boondockable. The roads are fine so getting there is not an issue. I think that something could be found. We leave tomorrow, sadly, but we'll be back ASAP.

Is that a PIG?? I thought it was a dog at first glance, and thought "yeah, and...??" But it's a PIG isn't it? Yikes!

What a beautiful place, by the way! I'd be sad to leave, too... but we miss you! Hurry back! BIS
